Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. The most famous role she has played is Bo in the Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk was a native of Fredericton, New Brunswick in Canada. Silk is the daughter of Peter an academic and Ilkay Silk who is a renowned actor, director, producer, playwright as well as Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Some of Anna's earliest memories are of attending the play school and watching her mom work. Silk was a part of numerous commercials for children. Silk was a graduate of St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Silk was nominated in 2009 for Gemini Awards in her role as Cassidy Holland. Silk was cast in the lead role as Bo Dennis, a succubus, in Lost Girl. Silk announced to the fans the good announcement that she became pregnant during the filming of the final episode of season 3. The show was a pre-show exclusive to promote Season Three. This was presented by Showcase at a special Season Three show held January 6th, 2013 prior to the premiere. Silk tweeted on June 20th that she is ready to resume work. The 4th of June 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially declared the start of final season of production. The CNN Cable News Network named her role as Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples one of their all-time favorite television Couples. E! named them as the most popular TV Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Because of the show's popularity, Silk has gained a large online following on social media.
